The most famous street in Barcelona, Las Ramblas.
Last week gone had some distinctly flavours of summer, with the warmth given by the sun's rays and chilly, crisp evenings in Barcelona.
Basílica de la Sagrada Família.
Antoni Gaudí's unfinished masterpiece!
Though it is unfinished on the outside, it is his masterpiece- ingenious!
Let me put this way- once you are in, you will be in awe. :p
"A museum narrates the history of the church and tells the story of its great architect."
Upper section of the portal of charity. Also, the façade of Life, of Joy, or of Christmas.
"The Nativity façade was the first façade to be completed. Dedicated to the birth of Jesus, it is decorated with scenes reminiscent of elements of life."
The Nativity Façade is 55m height. An elevator and stairs leaded me to the top of the tower, there is a short bridge between the towers on the Nativity Facade (as seen from the image above).
The walls of the bridge are high and surrounded with nets, so it is extremely safe and not as terribly scary as I thought it'd be. The view over Barcelona was spectacular, it nearly blew my mind. A must-visit in Barcelona! /biggrin
Mercat de Sant Josep de La Boqueri (La Boqueria)
La Boqueria is a large public market that congregates all the phases in the food chain. At the Boqueria you can feel the gastronomic delight of Spanish- living life well and enjoying a sense of community. I loved the fresh fruit juice I had, it was a well-blend of passion fruit and mango. (Y)
That is not all. Stay tuned for the next ones! :p
Back to University. /yay
